Dear Neighbor,
This week, my Summer Newsletter will be hitting mailboxes across the district! Inside you’ll find updates on what’s happening in Harrisburg, a breakdown of the state budget, information about state programs, and details on upcoming constituent events happening later this month and throughout the fall.
I also want to remind you about two upcoming events. My Medicare 101 Workshop will take place on Monday, August 24, with the presentation starting at 6:30 PM at the Aston Community Center. This informative, in-person session will be led by a trained PA MEDI counselor and is a great opportunity to learn more about Medicare and get your questions answered. To register, call my office at 610-534-6880 or email RepKrueger@pahouse.net.
On Thursday, August 27, my Blood Drive with the American Red Cross will take place from NOON – 5 PM at the Brookhaven Municipal Center. Blood donations have fallen to a four-year summer low, prompting the Red Cross to declare a national blood crisis, with patient care potentially being impacted. If you’re able, please consider donating and helping patients in need. You can register HERE.
You’ll also find information below about an upcoming PennDOT public meeting on a Delaware County road improvement project, along with important updates and resources for our community.

Governor Shapiro Signs Executive Order on Data Centers
|
This afternoon, Governor Shapiro signed an Executive Order restricting center development in PA. This is a really important move because even though the PA House has passed eight bills this year to regulate data centers and put protections for communities and guardrails in place, the PA Senate has refused to move any of them, even voting down a data center moratorium bill in Committee. I have heard concerns from neighbors about data centers and we keep hearing rumors of potential projects that could be proposed in Delaware County, so this news is timely.
The Governor’s Executive Order mandates that any data center developers must:
- Pay the full cost of electricity and infrastructure needed to power their project, without shifting costs to residents
- Commit to full transparency with local residents and leaders often and early, so that communities can have meaningful conversations about the impact of the project
- Hire and train local workers and enter meaningful community benefit agreements
- Meet the highest standards of environmental protection and strict water conservation requirements
The Executive Order also removes all data center proposals from the Fast Track permitting process and removes the use of nondisclosure agreements for data center projects – paving the way for more transparency and more time for municipalities to consider whether they want to support projects proposed in their communities.
You can read the Executive Order for yourself here.

Celebrating our summer interns
|
Last week, we said goodbye to our wonderful summer interns, Annabelle and Zoe. We truly enjoyed having them as part of our team and appreciated all of their hard work throughout the summer. From helping constituents in the office to supporting community events, they brought great energy and enthusiasm to everything they did. We wish them both the very best in the year ahead and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!

Does the state owe you money?
|
Thanks to the PA Money Match program, certain unclaimed property valued up to $500 is now returned automatically. That means no searching, no paperwork, and no forms—eligible funds are simply sent back to their rightful owners.
About 1 in 10 Pennsylvanians have unclaimed property, including dormant bank accounts, uncashed checks, rebates, and insurance payments.
You can still search anytime by visiting their website or reaching out to my office at 610-534-6880.
