I was honored to be invited to visit Access Services, Inc. in Colmar and observe their Vocational Day Program. This program is more than just a workplace. It is a lifeline for up to 30 individuals living with intellectual disabilities or autism. It provides opportunities to develop employment skills while also recognizing that competitive employment is not the right path for everyone. For some, the program offers a noncompetitive and highly supported environment where they can thrive according to their abilities. Read more

Our Holiday Open House is almost here, and I can’t wait to welcome everyone in for some cheer. It’s going to be a night full of laughter, twinkling lights, and celebration. This is a chance to connect with neighbors and celebrate the festive spirit of Christmas, Hanukkah, and the winter season. In collaboration with the Recorder of Deeds Office, we will also be collecting toiletries, new socks, and winter hats and gloves to benefit our area’s veterans. After a long and challenging process, I’m thrilled to announce that we have passed a balanced, bipartisan budget that reflects both fiscal responsibility and compassion for our communities. The total state General Fund spending is $50.09 billion. This plan includes no tax increases and makes no reductions to the Rainy Day Fund, while maintaining $11 billion in reserves for the future. This budget protects jobs, prevents layoffs, and ensures that counties, townships, and boroughs can continue serving their residents. Most importantly, it preserves vital services and keeps Pennsylvania’s economy growing, even amid uncertainty from Washington. Read more
